Pride filled campuses across Katy ISD as student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent to compete at the collegiate level, marking another standout achievement for the District’s highly respected athletics programs.

Katy ISD’s marching band programs closed out the fall season on a high note as three District bands, Cinco Ranch High School, Seven Lakes High School and Freeman High School, advanced to the UIL State Marching Band Championships. This marked the first time in District history that three schools earned the opportunity to compete at the state level in the same year.

Academic excellence continues to thrive across Katy ISD, as 325 students earned the AP Capstone Diploma™ and 20 students earned the AP Seminar and Research Certificate™ during the 2024-25 school year.

As the team prepared to wrap up and head to class, cameras, cheer leaders and Houston Texans representatives rushed into the film room, surprising Cinco Ranch High School Head Football Coach Chris Dudley with the Houston Texans Coach of the Week award
