Katy ISD celebrates a standout group of student performers after nine dancers were selected as Texas Dance Educators Association (TDEA) All-State Dancers, one of the highest distinctions in Texas dance education.
Nearly 200 Katy ISD student-athletes are proving that tandem excellence in classrooms and competitions can net a roster slot among the Texas High School Coaches Association Academic fall sports All-State teams.
She shattered her comfort zone. Leading the pack for an entire team that had to rebuild and rebrand after losing significant height and scoring as seniors graduated and went on to college, Luna Bazezy took the challenge and ran with it.
Families, students and staff filled Katy Heritage Park for Katy ISD’s annual Brick Unveiling Ceremony, where the District honored its 2024-25 Campus Teachers of the Year with commemorative bricks installed as permanent tributes to their service.
Pride filled campuses across Katy ISD as student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent to compete at the collegiate level, marking another standout achievement for the District’s highly respected athletics programs.
Katy ISD’s marching band programs closed out the fall season on a high note as three District bands, Cinco Ranch High School, Seven Lakes High School and Freeman High School, advanced to the UIL State Marching Band Championships. This marked the first time in District history that three schools earned the opportunity to compete at the state level in the same year.
